How do tri sheer shades work?
Soft fabric vanes sit between two sheer layers. As the shade lowers, the vanes tilt open to let in filtered light; one more turn closes them for privacy, and the whole shade rolls up into the headrail when you want a clear window.
Are tri sheer shades the same as Silhouette shades?
They work the same way. Silhouette is a brand name from Hunter Douglas; tri sheer shades use the same design of fabric vanes between two sheers, made to order in our Carrollton factory.
Light filtering or room dimming: which should I choose?
Light filtering keeps a room bright and soft, which suits living rooms, kitchens and offices. Room dimming blocks more light for bedrooms and media rooms. We bring both to your home so you can compare.
Do tri sheer shades block all light?
No. Even room-dimming tri sheer fabrics let some light through. For a fully dark room, we usually pair them with a blackout roller shade or suggest a blackout roller instead.
Can tri sheer shades be motorized?
Yes. Choose ShadeoSmart, Somfy or Rollease Acmeda motors with rechargeable battery or hardwired power, then control them by remote, app, Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit, or from anywhere with our smart hub.
How long does it take to get tri sheer shades?
With in-stock fabrics, our automated factory in Carrollton makes them in about 3–4 working days. Our own team then installs them, usually in one visit.
What does the warranty cover?
Our written limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship: motors and controls for 5 years, and fabrics for 5 to 10 years depending on the fabric. Register within 30 days of installation to be covered.
