Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025 Last Updated: June 9, 2026
ShadeoTech Inc. (“ShadeoTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect through www.shadeotech.com, our customer dashboard, and our related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
ShadeoTech Inc. is a window treatment manufacturer and installer. We design, build, and install interior and exterior shades and provide related consultation, scheduling, and order management through our website and our proprietary customer software platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
a. Information You Provide Directly
- Contact and identity data — your name, email address, phone number, and physical or billing address, provided when you request a consultation, book an appointment, place an order, or contact us.
- Account credentials — if you create an account to access your customer dashboard, we collect your username, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form), and account settings.
- Order and project data — details necessary to fulfill your order, such as window measurements, product selections, installation location and access details, project photos, scheduling preferences, and notes from your consultation.
- Communications — the content of messages, emails, texts, and forms you send us, including inquiries and support requests.
- Payment data — when you make a payment, your card or banking details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processors. We do not store complete payment card numbers on our systems.
b. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Services, we automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and dates and times of access. We use this for analytics, security, advertising measurement, and improving the user experience.
c. Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics partners, lead-generation platforms (for example, when you submit a form through a social or search advertising platform), and payment processors. We combine this with the information we already hold to operate and improve our Services.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, schedule, and fulfill the products and services you request, including manufacturing and installation;
- Create and manage your account and provide access to your customer dashboard, where you can view and track the status and progress of your order;
- Communicate with you about your inquiries, appointments, orders, and account, including reminders and service notifications;
- Process payments and maintain billing records;
- Operate our customer relationship management (CRM) and internal software used to manage customer information and order progression;
- Conduct marketing and advertising, including serving and measuring targeted ads through third-party platforms;
- Analyze usage to maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity; and
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms and agreements.
4. Your Account and Customer Dashboard
We provide a secure customer dashboard, powered by our proprietary software, where registered users can view their order details and track order progression. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly at the contact information below if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. We store the information in your dashboard for as long as your account is active and as described in the Data Retention section below.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. These technologies may include first-party analytics (such as web analytics tools that measure site performance) and third-party advertising tools used to understand the effectiveness of our campaigns and to show you relevant ads.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not function properly without them. Because there is no industry-standard response to browser “Do Not Track” signals, we do not currently respond to them.
6. SMS / Text Message Communications
- By submitting your phone number on our website, booking page, or through any ShadeoTech representative, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your appointment scheduling, reminders, order updates, and service notifications.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
- For help, reply HELP.
- Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The above excludes text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
7. How We Share and Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We share information with trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf — for example, payment processors, hosting and software providers, CRM and communications platforms, analytics providers, and advertising partners — limited to what they need to perform those services.
- Advertising and analytics partners. We may share certain usage and device information with advertising and analytics platforms to serve and measure targeted advertising. (Note: the sharing of mobile opt-in/SMS consent data is expressly excluded, as stated in the SMS section above.)
- Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice if your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
8. Data Security
We take commercially reasonable steps to safeguard your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricting access to authorized personnel. However, no method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and you provide it at your own risk.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents may have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, access and obtain a copy of that data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. You may also appeal a decision we make about a privacy request. To submit a request or appeal, contact us using the details below.

11. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when we post the revised version on the Site with an updated “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update signifies your acceptance of the revised Policy.
