How are Uni Vertical Shades different from drapes?
Unlike traditional drapes, Uni Sheer Vertical Shades use a combination of polyester fabric and sheer blends, allowing you to enjoy both soft, diffused natural light and privacy when tilted to the fabric side. This dual functionality offers greater light control and elegance compared to regular drapes.
What is the warranty coverage?
Our shades come with a limited lifetime warranty. As long as you remain in your home and the issue is due to our fault, we will replace your shades at no charge. Be sure to register your shades to be eligible for any warranty claims.
Are Uni Vertical Shades more cost-effective than drapes?
Yes, they are. Unlike drapes that require custom tailoring, Uni Sheer Vertical Shades are precision-cut by automated machinery, making them more affordable and accessible without compromising style or quality.
How long does Manufacturing take?
Our shades can be manufactured in as little as two days, but due to high order volumes, installation typically takes place within a few days to 2–3 weeks after ordering. If you have requested motorized Uni Shades the lead time on those are 2-4 weeks as the tracks have to be custom made with teh motor electronic components. For urgent needs, we offer expedited manufacturing to prioritize your order. In rare cases, delays may occur if fabrics are discontinued or unavailable at our DFW production facility.
How long will Installation take?
Installation time depends on the number of windows and how level they are. Installation typically takes 4–5 hours. Please ensure an adult is present during installation and that the walkways to the windows are clear for our team.
Can I get a battery-powered motor instead of hardwired?
Absolutely! You can opt for a battery-powered motor if hardwiring isn’t preferred. However, keep in mind that if it’s installed in an area with a high ceiling, recharging the motor may be challenging to reach.
Is the motor the same as the motor for other shades?
No, Uni Vertical Shades require a motorized track system, which is different from the standard motor used for other shades. The track itself is motorized to smoothly glide the panels open and closed.
Are Uni Vertical Shades good for sliding doors?
Absolutely! They offer the sophistication of drapes with the convenience of easy access. You can simply walk through the panels without any hassle, making them perfect for sliding doors and high-traffic areas.
Which side will they open?
You have the flexibility to choose. They can open from the center, which looks best because the panels stack neatly to the sides like decorative pieces. Alternatively, you can have them stacked to either the left or right side, depending on your preference.
What happens if I get a stain on my Uni Vertical Shades?
The great thing about Uni Sheer Vertical Shades is their easy maintenance. If a panel gets dirty, you can simply remove it and have it dry-cleaned. If the stain persists, just give us a call, and we'll provide a replacement panel to keep your shades looking flawless.
Can I mix and match fabrics with Uni Sheer Vertical Shades?
Of course! You have the freedom to choose just one color or mix and match fabrics to create your desired look. For example, you can have 10 panels of black, 10 panels of dark grey, 10 panels of light grey, and finish with white in the center. The possibilities are endless to achieve the perfect style for your space.
Can I tilt and open the shades completely using the motor?
Yes, the remote control for Uni Sheer Vertical Shades is specially designed to offer complete functionality. You can tilt the panels to either side for adjustable light control and fully open or close them with ease. Please note that this remote is different from those used for other shades.
