Yes, Tri Sheer Shades are the same as Silhouette Shades. Hunter Douglas popularized the term "Silhouette," but Tri Sheer Shades provide the same soft, elegant look with fabric vanes between two layers of sheer material.
What is the warranty coverage?
Our shades come with a limited lifetime warranty. As long as you remain in your home and the issue is due to our fault, we will replace your shades at no charge. Be sure to register your shades to be eligible for any warranty claims.
How do Tri Sheer Shades work?
Tri Sheer Shades have adjustable fabric vanes that tilt open or close to control light and privacy. The sheer fabric layers diffuse natural light while reducing glare, creating a soft, ambient glow in your space.
How long does Manufacturing take?
Our shades can be manufactured in as little as two days, but due to high order volumes, installation typically takes place within a few days to 2–3 weeks after ordering. For urgent needs, we offer expedited manufacturing to prioritize your order. In rare cases, delays may occur if fabrics are discontinued or unavailable at our DFW production facility.
How long will Installation take?
Installation time depends on the number of windows and how level they are. For an entire home, installation typically takes 4–5 hours. Please ensure an adult is present during installation and that the walkways to the windows are clear for our team.
Are Tri Sheer Shades energy-efficient?
Yes, Tri Sheer Shades improve energy efficiency by filtering UV rays, reducing heat gain, and helping maintain indoor temperatures. They also protect furniture and floors from sun damage.
Will there be gaps on the sides?
Yes, a small sliver of light will be visible on both sides due to the shade’s operating mechanism. In Texas homes, where walls are often not perfectly straight, we take measurements from the narrowest point to ensure a proper fit, which may result in slightly larger gaps.
Do Tri Sheer Shades provide privacy?
Yes, Tri Sheer Shades offer excellent privacy when the vanes are closed. When the vanes are open, they maintain privacy during the day while allowing light to filter in but may provide less privacy at night when interior lights are on.
Can I upgrade to motorization later on?
Yes, you can upgrade your shades to motorization at any time. Our technicians will visit your home to install the motor and complete the programming on-site. Please note, there will be an installation fee if the upgrade is done at a later time, but it's included if you opt for motorization during your initial order.
