What are Roman shades?
Roman shades are fabric shades that fold into horizontal pleats as they rise. They combine the soft look of drapery with the simple operation of a shade.
Flat, hobbled or soft fold: which should I choose?
Flat folds look crisp and modern. Hobbled folds stay softly cascaded even when lowered, which suits bedrooms and sunrooms. Soft folds drape in a relaxed curve. Your consultant brings examples so you can see each one.
Do Roman shades collect dust?
The folds can gather some dust over time, so an occasional pass with a soft brush or vacuum keeps them fresh. If low upkeep matters most, a <a href="/roller-shades/">roller shade</a> has a smoother surface.
Can you make Roman shades for bay windows or doors?
Yes. Every shade is measured by our design consultants and made to fit, including bay windows, small windows and doors.
Can Roman shades be motorized?
Yes. Choose cordless or motorized operation. Motorized Roman shades work by remote, app, Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit.
What does the warranty cover?
Our written limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship: motors and controls for 5 years, and fabrics for 5 to 10 years depending on the fabric. Register within 30 days of installation to be covered.
